Aquatopia, Gateway Park

The Gateway Park - Aquatopia is located on an irregularly undulating piece of land along the highway at the main entrance to the City of Nowra. Intended to capture the attention of a considerable amount of passing traffic, the concept is based on numerous thematically different artificial islands (some floating); accessible by small leisure boats only. A large flowering ribbon alongside the highway forms a conspicuous “welcome” sign as well as carrying some visitor facilities such as a restaurant, the visitor’s center, and boat hire, etc.
