Melbourne Docklands

After winning a limited competition Room 4.1.3 in association with Ashton Raggatt McDougall was consultant landscape architect to the Melbourne Docklands Authority, responsible for Australia’s largest urban development involving a $20 million landscape component. The Docklands Esplanade focuses on the main open space in front of the Docklands Stadium and includes the proposed Docklands Park, promenade and new gateway buildings; forming a combination of public and private development. Through all the contingencies of such a complex and large project, the esplanade remains the spinal cord of the Docklands.
